bins o' coffee...

found an amazing coffee shop today in manhattan...there were huge bins of the most uniquely flavored coffee you've ever seen. my top picks:
  • mint (if you know me, you know this is one of my favorite combo's)
  • pumpkin spice (i love this for fall...)
  • eggnog (in the seasonal spirit)
  • tiramisu
  • vanilla almond

there were billions more, so check it out...macdougal and bleecker, porto rico importing co.

this week...

learning about natural dyes...
volunteering at...
brooklyn grange farms & eagle roof farms

most importantly:

life in brooklyn...

so yes...i have just moved to brooklyn and am starting my master's in architecture at pratt--quite a switch from anything that i have really done in the past. one week in, i have been completely overwhelmed by the intensity of the program, but its structure is impeccable. we've been studying the structure and development of drawing, reading early and modern art critiques, and using weather systems and schools of fish to design building components. while i won't have much non-architecture time, i have many plans for brooklyn exploration this week...
